Luxon/Kurzick

If i want to get Kurzick Elite armor would i have to go with that faction in the game to get it or is there another way around?

or is there any benefit to going to one faction or the other?

As long as you have all the materials, you can get any armour you want, I was luxon when I got my Elite Kurzick, But I think you would need more Kurzick faction at the time of crafting, HTH

Its says nothing on the wiki about needing faction one way or the other. But i dont know anyhting about it lol. I havn't started that campaign yet I'm still working my way through Prophecies.

However it does mention the reputation points on the Eye of the North armour sets

Yeah the kurzick merchants won't talk to you if you have more unspent luxon faction I think it's the same with the armourers. I got Asuran armour and I had to get to R5 before they would talk to me, so I had to go and get enough points, which was a bit boring lol

Challenge of the game i think. at least it makes it interesting. it'd be boring if it were just saving up lol

Lol that's true, plus when you get asuran skills, higher rank makes them work better. SO bonus

Suppose it makes up for the level cap. i didn't know that.

Which campaign would you suggest doing after prophecies then?

I started with factions then did nightfall and got proph last, factions is my favourite and proph is my least favourite. So i'd suggest factions definately, but NF is worth doing to get heroes. the leveling is also quicker in factions, dunno if that's what you'd want to go for , but i'm impatient

My Proph character is already lvl 20 so i'm not too bothered about that.

I must say form the little bits i have done of the other quests, that factions seems to be the best, so i may well go for that anyway. Kinda fancy Eye of the North as well.

In order to get kurzick elite armour as a Luxon you will need to complete the 'befriend the kurzick quest' To complete this you will need to gain 10k kurzick faction - The easiest way to achieve this is to guest at a Kurzick guild and play alliance battle to earn the 10k faction. The other way is to complete the kurzick quests in and around Zu Heltzer. (The kurzick cazpital). Hope this helps! Bob.

Ive done the quest "friend of kurzick emo's" and then farmed killing mobs in their terretory. (get the buff from the priest by bribing him with gold) and rip some mobs. Its good to explore the map as you will eventualy have to if you go for the canthan explore title. Also, few Elite skills can only be found in that region so.. you might wanna give it a try.

I found it useful to go there as i had many yellow drops and the mobs were easier for me then those on luxon side.

Anyways, bout the armor, its not that hard to get it, you just need to be "kurz emo" for some time. When you done, you can change to "luxon coolies" again by just doing one aspenwood = works great, just play one and you'll notice.

I have to disagree in a friendly way of course! Prophecies is by far the best campaign. Yes its long and levelling is slower but i think it gives new players an opportunity to learn about their characters skills, strengths/weaknesses etc. i particularly like the setting of it as well as EOTN. factions is a close second. Now as anyone will tell you that knows me i loathe nightfall lol. TBH the nice thing about GW is we can all enjoy different campaigns. So much respect to you Spawny i think sharing our experiences here is great.

I'm liking proph enough. its a good story and if you can get into it it runs fast enough. the bit i do find annoying is its repetetive, find someone follow them they die, find someone follow them they're an asshole, find someone follow then they wonna take over the world.

it is annoying but its told well.

I like the idea of following people, see them die.

I hope they die and i hope that in GW you can kill the bastards instead of letting them die
